How We Choose Providers
We only connect people with SIL providers registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, or on its list of providers who applied before 1 October 2026, who may have support or a vacancy that suits and who agree to contact you promptly. We check they did, and we stop working with providers who don't.
Registered With the NDIS Commission for SIL
Since 1 October 2026, SIL can only be delivered by registered providers, or by providers who applied before then and are waiting on a decision. We check the Commission's provider register when they join, and again from time to time.
Support or a Vacancy That May Suit
Providers tell us where they have vacancies or capacity and what kind of support they deliver. We only pass your details on when they may have something that fits what you told us.
They Contact You Promptly
Providers agree to contact you promptly after we pass your details on. We follow up to check they did. If they didn't, we find someone else.
Your Home Doesn't Depend on Your Support Provider
The SIL Practice Standards say tenancy and support agreements are separate, and you can change SIL provider during your tenancy. We don't work with providers who tie the home to their own support.
What We Don't Do
- We don't decide eligibility or give advice about your plan. That's the NDIA, with your support coordinator.
- We don't inspect homes or audit providers. The NDIS Commission does that. Always visit before you commit, using our questions to ask a SIL provider.
- We don't send your details to a group of providers at once. It's one at a time.
- We don't charge you anything. Providers pay us for introductions, as explained on how it works.
If you've had a problem with a provider we connected you with, please tell us at the email address in the footer. You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.
